DevRev is solving a difficult AI and design problem, and the early employees are committed to the marathon of company-building and hard problem-solving.

Job Description

We are an untraditional SaaS revenue organization, built to support a rapidly scaling technology start-up driven by product-led-growth and sales (PLG / PLS). Business development representatives lead from the front, expanding DevRev's customer base and building a healthy revenue pipeline for the company. You'll use prospecting strategies to identify prospects and initiate the first outreach with potential customers. The goal is to help book high quality meetings, searching for those early adopters who feel pain in how their companies converge with customers. At DevRev, we expect early BDR members to enjoy helping refine our go-to-market scripts and providing feedback to our Product and Engineering teams. Activities related to this role will, for example, include:

  • Expand outreach and own building our pipeline with high quality prospects
  • Setting up introductory meetings with target influencers and key decisions makers
  • Developing innovative approaches for outbound outreach - phone, text, social - to discover ideal prospects
  • Nurture and qualify customers to learn pain points, provide product demos, share use cases and gather requirements
  • Outreach (warm & cold) to customers around the world, regardless of timezone
  • Create content and refine scripts to support interest in taking intro sales meetings
  • Maintain pipeline data and account information in DevRev's in-house CRM

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • BA/BS, or equivalent educational or professional experience
  • Ability to connect with people deeply!
  • Outstanding communication (written and spoken), collaboration, and follow-up skills, with professionalism and friendliness
  • Sales Development Representative (SDR), Business Development Representative (BDR), customer service or other related experience
  • Some technical knowledge in cloud-based SaaS implementations and integrations
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Operating with urgency in a fast-paced, global environment
