RF Optimization Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform RF Design and Optimization activities for private LTE (CBRS, 900MHz) network for customer based in South California.
• Working with RF drive test teams, performing data processing and analysis. Troubleshooting network performance issues, correlating possible hardware issues and alarms to network performance and providing recommendations.
• Perform RF Parameters Review and Audit, including optimization plan.
• Process, review and analyze RF data. Generate reports in agreed format for the Customer review by using Accuver XCal.
• Conduct network performance review, tuning and optimization of LTE/5G overlay wireless network, and provide recommendations to enhance coverage, improve throughput and reduce interference, call drops and access/handoff failures etc.
• Present SLA KPIs to the customer and justify the performance of the network.
• Perform Atoll design model tuning by using the collected RF data.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent program) from recognized institute and 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Working experience with RF planning and Data Collection Tools such as Atoll, Accuver XCAP, XCAL and MapInfo.
• Minimum Required Skills / Competencies: Solid understanding of RF propagation principles, cellular theory, RF engineering tools and antenna theory.
• Detailed knowledge of 4G and 5G technologies and must have LTE performance experience.
• Familiar with antenna sweep tests & PIM tests
