Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack Blockchain

About the Role

As our Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack Blockchain), you will be pivotal in advancing our ZK layer. Your role will drive the development and deployment of our technology, ensuring we meet immediate technical goals while setting the stage for long-term success and industry leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and launch of the full ZK stack and mainnet, enabling users to deploy ZK applications independently.

    • Develop and integrate the marketplace and our universal ZK layer, ensuring ease of use and language agnosticism.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive demand and unlock various use cases for our universal ZK layer.

    • Ensure the technology stack remains up-to-date and capable of supporting complex network changes and deployments.

Top Initiatives You’ll Own  (over the first 3-6 months)

  • Launch the full ZK stack and mainnet, allowing for independent ZK app deployment.

  • In partnership with our proving and compiler teams, achieve extraordinary performance levels and compatibility with different programming languages.

  • Develop a comprehensive and user-friendly marketplace and our universal ZK layer, supporting various use cases and languages.

  • Establish RISC Zero as a leader in ZK application deployment, reducing barriers to entry and increasing industry adoption.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in engineering a layer 1 blockchain, ideally from its nascent state.

  • Mastery of Solidity alongside demonstrated proficiency in Rust, with secondary expertise in GoLang.

  • Proven experience in managing and deploying smart contracts.

  • Strong background in building and maintaining APIs, with experience working with cloud platforms like AWS.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of inspiring and guiding teams to achieve goals.

  • Proficiency in time management and prioritizing tasks effectively.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies.
