RMBS Researcher

Job Description Summary:
This is a senior manager level role reporting to the Head of RMBS Research. He or she will be responsible to support, enhance, and build-out US RMBS models with a special focus on Non-Agency including CRT, Jumbo2.0, Non-QM, and Legacy sectors.
The daily activities will include incorporating collateral performance data and economic data into the research platform, researching new models, surveillance and adjustments to existing models, producing research and model focused publications, and interacting with client support and prospect outreach.
Leads large research projects and studies, providing leadership and management over the design and implementation as a senior member on a team that delivers information and consulting services to clients.
This role is a hybrid working role, with a blended approach of home and office working.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
  • Combines hands-on and management skills
  • Leads teams of researchers, research leaders, programmers, analysts, and statisticians
  • Acts as knowledge expert and ambassador for teams and all stakeholders
  • Identifies and leads on research opportunities to add value for the organisation, securing budget and planning internal and external resources required to complete the research
  • Leads research to inform the team’s strategy and operations, overseeing the production of content and thought leadership studies
  • Oversees and reviews complex client research deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Significant experience in a research related role
  • For some roles: Postgraduate / Ph.D. in a quantitative field or equivalent.
Compensation/Benefits Information (New York City applicants only):
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $150,000 - $278,600.
Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our annual incentive (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience. All roles are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG benefit program, more information & details will be provided at time of offer.
