Our client, a distinguished alternative investment firm managing over $50 billion in assets, we are seeking an Associate in Legal and Compliance. This role presents a thrilling opportunity to become part of a dynamic team within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will have the privilege to operate in a vibrant environment, overseeing compliance testing activity, facilitating regulatory requirements, and supporting various compliance projects.What you'll do:As an Associate in Legal and Compliance, your role will be multifaceted and crucial to the seamless operation of our client's business. You will manage various compliance activities such as quarterly testing and reviews, developing materials for board presentations, and facilitating regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for AML/KYC screening for new investments and assisting in the integration of new employees. Your role will also involve supporting various compliance projects and coordinating conflict checks for the credit platform.• Oversee quarterly compliance testing activity in the Credit group for BDCs• Support with quarterly compliance reviews with an external consultant• Develop materials presented quarterly/annually to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee• Facilitate the compliance requirements associated with the investment process• Manage AML/KYC screening with respect to new investments• Facilitate the integration of new employees• Support various compliance projects• Coordinate conflicts checking for credit platformWhat you bring:The ideal candidate for the Associate in Legal & Compliance position brings a wealth of skills and qualifications. You hold a J.D. from an accredited institution along with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. With at least three years of relevant compliance experience under your belt, preferably within the financial services and Investment Company Act, you are ready to take on this challenging role. Your excellent communication skills coupled with your highly organized nature make you adept at multitasking in a vibrant environment. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe is also required.• J.D. from an accredited institution• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university• Minimum of three years of relevant compliance experience (financial services and Investment Company Act, a plus)• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AdobeWhat sets this company apart:Our client is a respected alternative investment firm that manages more than $50 billion in assets.
