Position Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-capitalized mid-size firm and kickstart your career or take it to the next level at a great company. We are a tight-knit group looking for our next superstar team member to join us as a Front-End Web Developer & Designer. The Front-End Web Developer & Designer is integral to the business' daily operations assisting the organization in meeting business objectives, as well as ensuring that Rockpoint stands out from its competitors through strategic optimization efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and upgrade a WordPress based website tech stack, ensuring the integrity of custom built code as changes are applied.
  • Routinely upload fresh content, provided by a separate content creation team, to the site, maintaining appropriate URL structure and adding meta descriptions, Titles and tags according to Google SEO best practices.
  • Regularly meet with Head of Technology to check progress against goals and site KPIs and adjust strategy as needed.
  • Be able to suggest changes and updates according to best practices.
  • Monitor analytics to track performance and compare to other industry sites to ensure competitiveness.
  • Monitor backlink health and remove/disavow toxic backlinks as appropriate.
  • Front-end web and design.
  • Building new websites.
  • Managing multiple existing websites.

Qualifications

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field;
  • Prior experience in with WordPress is REQUIRED;
  • Have strong ability to write custom code;
  • Advanced understanding and experience with Google Analytics (GA4);
  • Ability to use SEO tools (Moz, Semrush, Etc.) to ascertain performance metrics;
  • Advanced understanding of APIs and plug-ins associated with Tech Stack;
  • Advanced web design skills & front-end web programming skills;
  • Positive attitude & team player;
  • Strong communication (verbal, listening, writing);
  • Strong analytical & organizational skills;
  • Immaculate attention to detail;
  • Possess strong critical thinking abilities;
  • Thorough understanding of confidentiality and discretion;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Effective decision-making & conflict-management skills;
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English C1/C2) Preferred.
