Roka Security, LLC is looking for an Wireless Network Engineer

Roka Security is looking for qualified candidates to join us as a Wireless Network Engineer.

Duties Include:

  • Design and analysis of wireless communications systems used on military aircraft, vehicles and deployed locations
  • Provide detailed technical planning, ensure compliance to the guidelines and make change recommendations when required
  • Gathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with suppliers and briefing customer
  • Support integration of wireless communication systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot communication systems to identify and resolve problems
  • Use of SysML to model and document wireless communication systems
  • Install and configure SD-WAN solutions
  • Configure wireless communications systems to comply with regulatory and partner system constraints

General Requirements:

  • Onsite position near Herndon, VA
  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability to maintain a Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic Technical Requirements:

  • Intermediate level background in wireless communications
  • Intermediate level background with RF engineering principles and the ability to apply them to real-world scenarios
  • Intermediate level background with wireless network architecture technologies, concepts and industry standards
  • Intermediate level background with System Modeling Language (SysML) and its application to document the architecture of Systems Engineering applications
  • Intermediate level background with SD-WAN solutions and configuration
  • Must have a DoD TS
  • Ability to obtain and maintain additional Special Access Program access

Preferred Technical Requirements:

  • 6-7 years of experience in the wireless industry
  • Experience with high bandwidth wireless communications to include SATCOM, MANET, LOS, Free Optical Space, Cellular and tactical data links
  • Experience with deploying rugged and low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) solutions for Military aerospace systems.
  • Experience with regulatory and partner system constraints for wireless communications
  • Associate’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Electronics and Computer Technology, or Information Technology
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering field is highly desired
