What will I be doing? As a Room Attendant, you would be responsible for cleaning guest rooms and responding to guest requests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
The Hilton Columbus/Polaris is currently seeking a full time Guest Room Attendant for our 254 room full service AAA Four Diamond hotel located in the vibrant Polaris community. As an associate of the Hilton Columbus/Polaris, you will also be an associate of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation's largest and fastest growing hospitality management companies.
As a Room Attendant, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents. Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly. Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Room attendants are also offered a competitive incentive program which pays associates additional money each pay period based on their inspection scores. Dollar amounts vary each pay period but are usually in the range of as high as $50 to as low as $25 of additional pay each pay period.
