Royal Caribbean Group is pleased to offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, and excellent career development opportunities, each offering unique ways to explore the world.The Royal Caribbean Group's Global Marine Operations Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Program Associate, Energy and IoT reporting to the Lead, Technical Projects.This position will work onsite in Miami, FloridaPosition Summary:The Program Associate, Energy and IoT will be responsible for supporting IoT and hardware integrations across key capital energy projects to ensure proper data mapping for new and existing vessels throughout the Royal Caribbean Group fleet. This role will be responsible for the coordination between vendors, Supply Chain, New Build team, CAR Managers, and Vessels to ensure accurate program management upon integration and commissioning of new technology. Capital energy projects include but are not limited to HVAC-R, Electrical, Machinery, and Marine Analytical Platforms. This role plays a key role ensuring the critical sensor data are being integrated within RCG's data analytics platform, enabling clear data collection to drive benefit tracking, technology verification and certifications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Project management coordination to support the development, tracking/monitoring and reporting of IoT Hardware from inception to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of project outputs.• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and efficient execution of capital projects. Follow-up with team members to meet project deadlines and provide input on team member activities for schedule review process.• Assisting in IoT data tag mapping needs and project managing tag mapping collaborators across internal and external stakeholders.• Support the implementation of the PMO Project Management strategy including any processes and templates, across the entire project portfolio. Proactively support strategic PMO initiatives to improve the PMO organization, processes, and tools.• Implements PMO governance standards across the tag mapping and integration portfolio.• Create reports and presentations to show progress using milestone tracking and timelines for executive updates.• Communicate findings and best practices to the Operations and GMO teams.• Escalate project risks /problems when needed and create risk mitigation plans.• Prioritize projects and day to day operations and utilize department staff in the most efficient way possible.• Responsible for interpreting and communicating project execution impacts with finance and marine operations teams.• Analyzing, communicating, presenting, and reporting on progress towards project milestones.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business Administration, Engineering, IT or a closely related discipline (Management Science, Industrial Engineering).• 2-5 years within a large corporation or consulting firm with 1-3 years in an office administration environment is required.• Solid written and verbal communication skills necessary. Clear and precise communication at all levels of the organization is essential.• Excellent interpersonal skills, strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.• Excellent administrative, organizational and presentation skills.• Ability to coherently define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and find pragmatic solutions to problems.• Knowledge of or some experience with process improvement methods and techniques.• Ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, co-workers, customers, vendors, shoreside and shipboard employees.• Software: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project required.• Ability to access and inspect all shipboard spaces, including machinery rooms, tanks, etc., which may require the ability to climb ladders, enter vertical hatches, and other strenuous activities.• May require visits to dry docks during ship maintenance and to shipyards during construction of new ships. Hearing and eye protection will frequently be required during ship, dry dock, and ship visits.• Ability and willingness to travel overseas and shipboard up to 10% of the time.We know there's a lot to consider.
