Raytheon is seeking an entry level Finance Program Cost Controls analyst who will provide support to a portfolio of programs working within Program Controls disciplines within the LADS SBU and Product Support (MA&S) business area. In this position, the candidate will partner with Program Managers, other finance analysts, and other functional groups. The candidate will maintain the cost and schedule baseline, identify risk and opportunities, prepare and analyze the Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) process for Sarbanes Oxley compliance, Annual Operating Plan preparation using the Business Planning (Rplan) system, analyze monthly financial data, support various other ad hoc requests. The candidate will also assist in the financial planning & analysis (FP&A) process which include monthly forecasting and financial reporting. The candidate will also utilize business software packages such as SAP/APEX, and Business Warehouse to provide in-depth analysis for financial reporting of various program funding profiles, bookings, sales and earnings outlook and forecast, billing projections, and variance analysis. This position will be an integrated part of a fast-paced finance team where multitasking and personal initiative are key requirements. What You Will Do: • Provide financial support of programs and tasks will be comprehensive from startup phase of initial proposal support and costing through mature phase of Inter-Organizational Transfer (IOT) processing, baselining and budgetary creation, sales forecasting and cost control and analysis. • Candidate will be provided challenging work assignments on both personal and team assignments that will help shape a foundation for both career and personal development within the world of Finance as well as the general world of Business • This position is uniquely able to give a wide sampling and vast exposure to potential assignments within Finance and Business ranging from Program Cost and Control, Financial Planning and Analysis, to Budgets and Planning Qualifications You Must Have: • Typically requires a Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related field & less than 2 years of experience in a finance role • Experience with Inter-Organizational Transfer (IOT) • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting and/or variance analysis • Experience with MS Office & APEX, Rplan, PRISM or a similar business tool • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements Qualifications We Prefer • Detail oriented and well organized • Self-starter and takes ownership of assignments • Willing and able to learn new systems/tools and processes • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely • Shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis • Works under general direction and participates in determining objectives of assignment • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team setting • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Ability to evaluate data, develop financial models/plans/analyses/reports, and present solutions to problems/issues for which there is no established approach. • Experience with application of finance principles, concepts, practices, and standards What We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
