About the role

We're looking for a tech-savvy automation engineer who's eager to dive into the world of payments while building efficient automated solutions. You'll be our integration and automation champion, working with payment systems and crafting sophisticated workflows that make our operations smoother. If you get excited about learning new payment technologies, automating complex processes, and building tools that make teams more efficient – we want to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

Payment Systems Integration:

  • Implement and configure new payment processors within our payment orchestration platform (Primer.io)

  • Design and test comprehensive payment workflows for subscriptions, including initial payments, recurring charges, and one-time transactions

  • Set up and manage A/B experiments using GrowthBook.io to optimize payment flows

  • Debug payment integrations using traffic analysis tools and API testing

Automation Development:

  • Create and maintain automation workflows using N8N to streamline payment operations and reduce manual effort

  • Design and implement internal tools using Tooljet for payment monitoring and management

  • Automate billing processes across different payment processors through API integration

  • Develop automated reporting systems for payment performance monitoring

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and webhook implementations

  • Experience with low-code platforms (N8N, Tooljet, or similar)

  • Knowledge of JavaScript for customizing low-code solutions

  • Familiarity with debugging tools and API testing methodologies

  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex payment flows

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Nice to have

  • Experience with payment orchestration platforms (Primer.io or similar)

  • Understanding of payment processing workflows and integration patterns

  • Background in A/B testing methodologies

  • Experience with version control systems (Git)

  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Knowledge of payment industry compliance requirements

Location

Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.

Interview Process
