About the Role
We are hiring a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead our Data Team and drive best practice data delivery at Rula. This person will be responsible for all Extract, Transform, Load (ETL/ELT) pipelines up to the point of consumption and will be in charge of delivering excellent data to the broad stakeholder group at Rula. This person will be responsible for data infrastructure, pipelines, and self-service data-sets for reporting. The ideal candidate has familiarity with HIPAA and the modern data stack (dbt, Looker, Fivetran, Hex.tech) as well as extensive experience leading data teams including Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering
Required Qualifications
5+ years of people management experience for data teams; developing, growing, and performance managing a team
3+ years working with cloud data infrastructure & warehousing (AWS, GCP, Azure, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
3+ years working with modern transformation and reporting tools (dbt, Fivetran, Looker,)
Experience dealing with cross-functional stakeholder groups (Operations, Analytics, Product, Engineering)

Healthcare or start-up experience - specific experience with HIPAA in regards to data is a plus.
3+ years of experience guiding the delivery of technical projects through the agile methodology
Strong verbal and written communication skills that can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical parties to find the right solution
5+ years of hands-on coding experience (SQL, Python, or equivalent)
Experience working with dbt, airflow, or similar data processing tools
Strong experience in data modeling
