What You'll Do

  • Provide expertise and resource to Plant Managers, Operation Managers and employees
  • Monitor training for completion and identify deficiencies to be addressed; assist facility to develop corrective action, if needed
  • Coordinate/facilitate required training including new employee orientation, annual required re-training, or site specific equipment safeguards
  • Assess and prioritize the needs of each facility and indicate the level of personal involvement needed to complete required safety functions
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining a site-wide health and safety program to prevent work-related injuries and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Coach and train employees on health and safety requirements
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend cost saving opportunities by identifying process, quality and safety related improvement projects
  • Participates in team meetings and activities
  • Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate with peers and supervisors daily to ensure safe operations, preservation of company assets, environmental compliance, cost and energy consciousness, and to promote the values of the CMC people program

What You'll Need

  • Ability to interact with coworkers and customers in a positive manner, follow directions and work rules and accept constructive feedback required
  • Able to work independently, take initiative and drive for results with minimal supervision
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Work in varying temperature and weather conditions
  • Currently pursing an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or similar field

Your Education

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related field at an accredited university
