Job Summary: 

We are seeking an energeticand detail-oriented Business Operations Manager to join our global remote impact investment advisory firm. The preferred applicant will have a demonstrated history of initiating action and driving self and colleagues toward the achievement of goals, as well as thinking in a structured and process-oriented way while remaining practical. This role is integral to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations without adding unnecessary complexity. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Company Goal Setting: Run the KPI/OKR process, facilitating goal setting and tracking progress against objectives. 
  • Strategic Meetings and Follow-Up: Prepare, join, and ensure follow-up from Leadership team meetings and offsites.  
  • HR Management: Oversee HR processes and administration, including internal contracts, performance and promotion processes. Ensure confidentiality and maturity in handling compensation information. 
  • IT/Cybersecurity: Oversee IT and cybersecurity operations leveraging our IT vendors, ensuring the safety and integrity of company data and systems. Specific IT knowledge is not required in this role; however, some level of hands-on experience is advantageous.  
  • Contracts/Legal: Handle contract negotiations and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, including software subscriptions, IT/cybersecurity support and services, and website maintenance. 
  • Vendor Management: Oversee third-party vendors, including negotiating contracts and managing relationships. Functional vendors will be managed by respective functional leads. 
  • Expense review: Review company expenses such as software to ensure accuracy and spot opportunities for reductions/renegotiations. 
  • Team Coaching: Direct and coach Executive Assistants and Administrative Assistants, establishing a collaborative, coordinated and productive working environment. 


Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: 7-10 years in business operations, preferably within a remote or global setting. Strong execution and project management skills.  
  • Highly organized and detail oriented. Demonstrates autonomy in project organization and execution. 
  • A focus on systematic thinking paired with a practical approach to problem-solving.  
  • Ability to promote efficiency and effectiveness in operations. 
  • Effective negotiation skills and experience managing third-party vendors. 
  • Confidentiality and maturity in handling sensitive information. 
  • Preferably has worked at a company with 100-1,000 people; understanding the balance between keeping things simple and practical while improving core processes.
