SAIT’s Safety and Community Services department is responsible for the development, support and improvement of safety and security programs at SAIT. Comprised of Health, Safety and Environment and Campus Security and Emergency Services, SCS team members are focused on supporting the goal of a safe and secure campus environment for everyone in the SAIT community.
The Opportunity
As the HSE Training and Competency Specialist, you will drive the creation and delivery of impactful training programs that foster a strong culture of safety and well-being at SAIT. Working closely with teams like Safety and Community Services, Employee Services, and other key partners, you’ll ensure our health and safety learning strategies align with both organizational goals and compliance standards. In this dynamic role, you'll design, develop, and lead engaging training sessions, manage key communication networks, and support coordinated planning efforts to elevate HSE practices across the organization. Reporting to the Manager of Health, Safety, and Environment, you'll be instrumental in shaping a robust Health, Safety, and Environment Management System.

Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000
Hours Per Week: 37.5

A flexible Hybrid work model can be offered for this role in accordance with SAIT guidelines. However, the hybrid work schedule will vary and may require the incumbent to be on campus up to five days per week depending on operational requirements.
