How You'll Help
The Sales Engineer at Jellyvision is a technical resource that bridges the gap between the Revenue and Technology teams. You will report to our Director of Sales Enablement and will work closely with the Jellyvision sales team as their trusted advisor. In doing so, you will be successful by providing support to close deals and hit our revenue goals. You will be an expert on our products, our technology and security requirements, the needs of our customers, and our sales process. You will be responsible for answering and translating technical questions with our customers and their teams. Working closely with our RFP writer, you'll also support our RFP library. You'll alsol engage with our Customer Operations team to ensure a successful implementation of the customer technology requirements like SSO and integrations.
More specifically
- You're the Sales team's tech expert, responsible for evaluating technical information requests, providing in-depth product demos, collaborating with our Product, Marketing and Technology teams to identify how our products can best meet customer needs, and collaborating with the team to demonstrate the value of our products. You not only know how things like APIs, data encryption, and SSO work, but you can translate those sorts of things for internal and external people who don't understand them one bit.
- You'll build an understanding of our products' integration capabilities, including APIs, file sharing, and single sign on, and help our customers understand the benefits of these various solutions.
- You will own the security questionnaire process at Jellyvision, being a liaison between tech, sales, legal, and and all additional teams to execute these questionnaires quickly and effectively.
- You're responsible for supporting revenue targets related to tech requirements of the sale and will assist the sales reps with hitting and exceeding quota.
- You're quick on your feet, helping our sales team field questions and objections during the sales process, and helping customers understand how we excell compared to the competition. You'll also partner with Sales Enablement to create technical sales collateral.
- You'll contribute to the sales strategy and planning for future products and initiatives as part of your work with the Revenue Enablement Team. Your understanding of our customers' technical and security landscapes will help us identify which customers are prime fits for pilots and new products.
- You'll identify, draft and deliver new product and ALEX platform technical talk tracks to Sales reps. You'll determine the level of technical product knowledge reps should own and partner with the Sales Enablement team and revenue managers to roll out training to reps. You'll continue to audit and evolve the talk track based on enhancements and new product features.
- You'll assist in responding to RFPs related to product functionality and technical areas.
- 5+ years of experience in a sales engineer role, preferably in an enterprise SaaS environment
- Experience with systems and technologies that carry sensitive data, including systems that are PCI, HIPAA/HITRUST, CCPA, or GDPR compliant
- Demonstrated ability to quickly absorb technical details and translate them for customers in a sales environment
- Ability to generate customer-facing collateral for addressing technical concerns in a customer-friendly way that supports the sales message
- History of collaborating close across the organization, including sales, marketing, legal, security, and technology teams
- Strong communication skills: Able to present technical concepts and ideas to internal
and external stakeholders in a way that's honest, compelling, and empathetic
- Direct client-facing experience: previous success with working directly with large B2B Clients
