Sartorius has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated U.S. based Sales Manager to develop and grow new business for our unique, recombinant albumin-based products and services in alignment with established revenue and strategic goals. You will connect with new and existing customers nationwide. You will strategically manage key accounts and build strong relationships culminating in identification of opportunities to expand sales and accurately forecast.
This is a remote based role where you will be traveling to customers approximately 40-50% of the time.

What you will accomplish together with us
Work collaboratively with the Sales Director to identify goals and objectives and execute activities autonomously
Identify customer’s goals and challenges and match with our solutions
Actively manage the sales pipeline by Identifying and qualifying new potential customers, identify and qualify opportunities based upon fit between clients need and our value proposition, facilitate and work within perimeters of clients’ unique buying processes, establish productive relationships and maintain regular contact points to advance opportunities to conclusion and maintain an up-to-date client forecast
Collaborate with the global sales team to align on global account strategy, share information and best practices
Leverage internal stakeholders to support and develop new opportunities
Create and maintain comprehensive records within the Salesforce “Hubble” CRM system, relating to client communications, opportunities, forecasts and proposals
Qualify inbound opportunities, based upon but not limited to; client’s company, responsibility, technical application, location and timeline
Provide a high level of support to existing clients and a timely response to leads and developing opportunities
Contribute thoughts and ideas within Sales team meetings, to optimize performance
Report monthly on progress made, market trends, competitor activities
From time-to-time take the lead with ad hoc projects relating to application expertise, collating and presenting to relevant internal stakeholders
What will convince us
B.S. in Life Sciences discipline or related field
3+ years’ successful experience working in a B-2-B sales role within the life sciences industry (preferably selling to Pharma / biotech /medical device customers)
2+ years’ experience of drug development process
Working knowledge of MS office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience working with CRM systems
Valid US Driver’s license is required
Willingness to travel approximately 40-50% domestic and 3 to 4 international trips annually
Demonstrated experience with effectively presenting technical information to a broad audience in a compelling manner
Proven track record for identifying customer goals/needs and drivers for change, and for facilitating the buying process by delivering positive
Base salary offered for the position is $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 depending on experience. (Higher starting salaries may be available in other locations based on geographic differentials.)
