Provide proactive servicing and support to clients as part of VSP’s customer growth and retention strategies. Support sales activities associated with qualifying and quoting to prospects; the installation of new client’s, changes to existing clients, renewals and open enrollment.
Maintain relationships with clients, account managers, and sales personnel to identify and understand customer requirements as they relate to VSP’s products and service offerings.
Provide administrative support to Client Development Plans and special projects to include strategic objectives, communication, growth and retention.
Communicate and coordinate with necessary business partners client requirements and needs to ensure accurate information is available to support client’s plan design and to ensure client expectations are met.
Support the implementation and intake requests of new clients to ensure implementation according to requirements within the specified time frame.
Verify client requirements are met, documented and business partners involved understand and agree to the requirements.
Maintain working knowledge of existing and new products/services and other general information to ensure accurate information is provided to clients and brokers.
Utilize sales automation system to maintain current client and prospect records.
Identify problematic issues and offer alternative solutions. Escalate to the appropriate business partner and drive solutions as needed.
Coordinate with other VSP departments and clients to resolve client issues and maintain client satisfaction.
Prepare and conduct presentations for sales team, clients and client members at open enrollment meetings, benefit fairs and finalist meetings to encourage selection of VSP as part of the employees benefit package.
Ensure complete and accurate information in systems to maintain current client, broker and prospect records, interfacing with multiple internal & external customers to coordinate
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Two to four years of customer service or client service experience, demonstrating the ability to build effective relationships and resolve a variety of issues
Strong understanding of VSP products and services
Ability to manage multiple concurrent account implementations and business issues
Strong understanding of VSP business objectives and the business environment
Work within agile environment demonstrating a proven ability to adapt to change quickly
Proven problem-identification and solving capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills for setting work priorities and managing a high volume of information from multiple sources
Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
Proficient ability to use PowerPoint, word processing, and spreadsheet applications including building files, writing formulas, combining columns, copying, and merging
