Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineer II Product Security in San Francisco, CA

Job Duties: Identify emerging classes of vulnerabilities and develop solutions for them before they become a problem. Contribute security-focused feedback to engineers during all phases of the development lifecycle. Perform technical security assessments on web applications, native clients, internal services, and partner applications. Communicate risks to engineering staff through training and technical demonstration of vulnerabilities and secure design patterns. Efficiently scope blackbox, whitebox, and graybox assessments to optimize security review time and resources. Maintain and create secure development practices and programs for the engineering teams and external developers. Act as an ambassador for security within Slack. Serve as a public representative for security at Slack by engaging periodically in internal and external speaking engagements. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering).

Special Skill Requirements: 2 years in each of the following: (1) Architecture Reviews; (2) Threat Modelling; (3) Cloud Security; (4) AWS; (5) Owasp Top 10 methodology; (6) Network Security; (7) Penetration Testing; (8) OAuth; (9) SAML; (10) GCP; (11) Java; and (12) Python. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $143,300.00 - $236,500.00 per annum.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,300 to $236,500.

For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,300 to $236,500.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,300 to $236,500.

For Washington D.C based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,300 to $236,500.

For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,300 to $236,500.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,300 to $236,500.

For Hawaii-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,300 to $236,500.

For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,300 to $236,500.

For Minnesota based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,300 to $236,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
