This job opens pathways for high growth, but requires a learning mindset.Job Type: ContractDuration: 3-6 months with the possibility of conversion to full-time employment.Schedule: Flexible 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 8:00pm Pacific Time, with occasional nights and/or weekends as needed for high priority work.Work setting: In-person, in-office (Palo Alto, CA) 80% of the timeResponsibilitiesSambaNova Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Manufacturing Test / Diagnostics - Software QA Engineer (Contractor) to work on-site in Palo Alto, CA. Responsibilities for the person in this role:• Develop a Systems Hardware test/diagnostics software suite that consists of component level, board level and system level tests.• Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test plans, procedures, fixtures and equipment.• Develop effective test infrastructure and test strategy to enhance efficiency, coverage and stress level for manufacturing/operations to deliver optimal quality, yields and throughputs.• Work cross-functionally with Sambanova's System Hardware team, manufacturing operations team, external suppliers, JDM/CM partners both domestically and in Asia.• Develop test automation of procedures, diagnostics, scenarios, equipment, and data analysis.• Perform formal periodic test reviews.• Analyze system behavior under operating scenarios to improve test efficiency and product performance.• Lead the design, development, integration, and release of test stations and techniques.• Define, outline and perform the training and sustaining activity required to successfully manage test verification programs.• Document methodology for test requirements, plans, procedures, and results.• Develop, draft, release and maintain test procedures, and perform related Configuration Management activity.• Ensure the quality and accuracy of released test documentation• Develop and publish product qualification test reports• Manage projects with a focus on delivering high caliber results in a timely fashion from specification creation to installation and commissioningBasic Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field• 7+ years of proven relevant experience as a Software QA Engineer or in a similar role.Additional Required Qualifications• Familiarity with the system architecture of advanced server, networking or AI/ML processing platforms and their interfaces and interconnects.• Lab experience using test and measurement equipment, signal/network traffic generators, simulators, etc.• Programming experience using languages such as C, C++, Python• Data manipulation, screening, organization, and processing experience with Excel and custom programming.• Demonstrated track record of rigorous documentation, record keeping, formal data management, collaboration, and communication skills• Exceptional data analysis and presentation skills• Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively• Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail• Superior communication skills• Excellent follow-through skillsAnnual Salary Range and LevelThe base wage for this position ranges from $75.00/hour up to $100.00/hour. This range is based on role, level, and location and reflects the salary target for new hires in the US. Individual pay within the range will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s job-related qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
