About the Role:

The San Francisco Giants are seeking an experienced, dynamic and self-motivated sponsorship sales executive who will focus on business development and overall revenue generation in corporate partnerships.  The successful candidate is an exceptional seller who will infuse professionalism, leadership, creativity and energy into the sales organization and bring new ideas/value to the existing corporate sales team.  The ideal candidate must bring a healthy roster of senior-level relationships along with a successful track record of prospecting, fostering, and selling, long-term partnerships.  The candidate must understand and convey sports marketing/advertising brand solutions, by utilizing category/market research and media analytics from the client’s perspective.  This role will be responsible for cultivating leads, developing targeted marketing proposals, securing new partnerships, and retaining and growing existing accounts.

·        Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, build, and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospective partners that align with the team’s brand and business objectives.  Develop and present customized partnership proposals and negotiate agreements to secure new business opportunities.

·        Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective partners. Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring effective communication and coordination of all partnership activities & entitlements.

·        Revenue Generation: Sell sponsorship packages to both new and existing clients based on their marketing objectives and budgets, while maintaining the integrity of the organization.  Work within a team environment to achieve revenue goals & proactively seek and cultivate international business relationships.

·        Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, operations, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of partnership agreements. Draft, review and execute Letters of Agreements (LOA’s) and contracts.  Maintain account receivables & CRM systems to ensure payments & contacts are up to date.

·        Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and innovative solutions. Use insights to inform business development strategies and prospect outreach. Track and analyze the performance of partnerships and provide regular reports to partners highlighting key metrics, successes, and areas for improvement.



Qualifications:

·        Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or related roles -- preferably within the sports, entertainment, or media industries. Demonstrated success in developing and managing seven-figure, multi-year partnership agreements.

·        Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

·        Knowledge: Understanding of the sports industry, domestic & international market trends, sponsorship, and partnership dynamics. Strong quantitative skills with a deep understanding of how to leverage data and insights during the sales process.

·        Personal Attributes: Results-driven, proactive, and innovative. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·        Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.

·        Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (Scarborough Sports Marketing & Neilsen Repucom) is a plus.

$100,000 - $125,000 a year
At the San Francisco Giants, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $100,000 to $125,000 and commissions , and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience and other factors the San Francisco Giants consider relevant to the hiring decision Additionally, this role might be eligible for bonus or incentive awards.
