S&P Global Senior Marketing Event Manager Events are an important part of Mastermind’s commercial and marketing strategy to support demand generation, retention, and brand recognition. This role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, execution, and measurement of in-person events, identifying, building, and executing events of all types and sizes - from executive round tables and partner/customer sponsorships to large-scale trade shows and conferences – that build sales pipeline and drive brand awareness.All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.As the Senior Marketing Event Manager, you will primarily be responsible for all the logistics that go into planning and hosting an in-person event. This position requires the ability to project manage events from beginning to end, everything from strategic engagement and concepting themes to planning logistics, coordinating guests, and pre/post-event communication plans, along with tracking costs and managing budgets.As a team player, the Senior Event Marketing Manager will also collaborate with internal teams to support team meetings and internal initiatives as needed. The role will also be the owner of our swag strategy, supporting our presence at in-person events with memorable and valued takeaways, as well as supporting internal needs with onboarding kits, meeting materials, and branded inventory.Success in this role depends on a high level of initiative and organization and the ability to think strategically but also be a doer. The role requires working collaboratively across the internal teams and executive leadership. The role also needs a balanced knowledge of both event management and general marketing campaign principles. You’ll be working with many internal and external stakeholders, so it is crucial that you are a clear communicator and negotiator with strong attention to detail in project planning, as well as a strong background in vendor management to execute top-notch events!What you’ll do:Conceptualize, develop, and plan in-person and webinar experiences that reflect the Mastermind brand and vision, engaging our customers, prospects, partners, and employees.Manage resources, external support agencies, and contractors to host high-quality events.Negotiate contracts with vendors and business partners with support from Mastermind Legal and Commercial team leadership.Work with Commercial, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to set goals, define metrics, and ensure these align with Mastermind business goals.Staff events and assist with set-up/tear down. Approximately 20 to 25% travel, including nights and weekends may be required.Own and manage swag strategy and inventory ordering to support commercial and internal needs.Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders, teams, and leadership to execute and deliver on the overall event strategy.Who we’re looking for:Minimum of five years of experience working in B2B event planning within a marketing team (especially large trade events), as well as an understanding of general marketing campaign principles and technologies.Experience with budgeting and managing large scale events.Highly organized, with strong planning and project management skills, being able to build timelines and back into dates and identify dependencies to keep the plan in motion.A great communicator with interpersonal skills who is savvy in networking, negotiation, and persuasion, and working with many internal and external stakeholders in addition to managing relationships with different vendors, organizations within our (automotive) industry, agencies, on-site event staff, and more.Thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and collaborating across teams is crucial to success but can also work independently and can manage and prioritize time efficiently.Experience working in an automotive retail software company is preferred.Salesforce and Marketo experience are desired.Experience with digital event solutions and managing webinars on platforms such as Cvent, Zoom, Filo, or others is desired.Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,800 to $118,900. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
