Scheduling Specialist Part-Time Days

We are looking for a PreService Specialist to join the Regional Scheduling team in Boise, ID (located at 8757 W. Emerald Street). They will be scheduled for 20 hours a week.

As a Pre-Service Specialist in Boise, you will be responsible for obtaining and/or verifying demographic, clinical, financial and insurance information in the process of scheduling patients for services. You will also be responsible for conducting insurance eligibility/benefit verification, pre-certification/authorization, and referral clearance for patients. Providing exceptional phone-based customer service is essential in this position.

Our ideal candidate has the ability to problem solve quickly in a busy environment while working independently. Utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills while interacting with internal and external customers is critical. They will also need to be comfortable accessing and navigating payer websites and utilizing other computer systems.

General Requirements:

• High school diploma required.
• Basic understanding of the core Microsoft Suite offerings.
• Data entry skills (50-60 keystrokes per minute).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Past work experience of at least 2 years within a healthcare provider or payer environment performing patient access and/or customer service activities.
• Prior experience working with medical insurances and navigating payer websites.
