We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of User Experience (UX) to join our team and lead the UX strategy and design of our K-12 SaaS product suite. In this role, you will be responsible for championing user-centered design principles, ensuring that our SaaS solutions provide an exceptional user experience, and align with the unique needs of K-12 educational institutions.

The impact you'll have:

•  UX Strategy: Develop and execute a user experience strategy that aligns with our product vision, market trends, and the educational sector's specific requirements
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of UX/UI designers and researchers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment
• User Research: Conduct user research, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to gain insights into user behavior and preferences
• Information Architecture: Define information hierarchies and create intuitive navigation structures for our SaaS products
• Prototyping and Wireframing: Create interactive prototypes, wireframes, and mockups to visualize design concepts and facilitate user feedback
• Design Standards:Establish and maintain design standards and guidelines to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across products
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing, to ensure UX design aligns with product goals and market positioning
• Accessibility: Ensure that our products are designed and developed with accessibility in mind, meeting the needs of all users
• Continuous Improvement: Implement feedback loops and data-driven decision-making processes to continuously enhance the user experience and drive product innovation

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree or advanced certification in UX/UI design is a plus
• 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Experience in the K-12 education or SaaS industry is highly desirable
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful UX design projects
• Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Strong understanding of user research methods and usability principles
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Passion for education and a commitment to improving the learning experience

U.S. Pay Range

$150,000—$205,000 USD

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
