What you'll be doing:
The Manager, Operations Finance will provide financial analysis and leadership. This role is expected to provide team leadership, analysis, and communicate with all stakeholders. The Manager, Operations Finance is expected to be organized, manage disparate information, and propose solutions for reporting and communication of financial information to Operational Teams. The candidate should have very good oral and written communication skills, analytical proficiency, and a desire to lead a team of finance professionals. This role will have an assigned number of client sites that it will be responsible for reviewing monthly. This role will be expected to participate in client calls/meetings as well as assist with financial contract remediation negotiations.
- Manage finance team to include recruitment, training and coaching, and performance management.
- Work directly with client facilities in conjunction with SCP operations teams to produce solutions for client needs that maintain a positive ROI for our company.
- Perform financial management duties including financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing trends and assessing the financial health of the client contracts.
- Advise, support and guide finance and operations leadership on decisions related to client contracts as it relates to the financial health of the contract.
- Design and advise on remediation strategies to support long-term viability of client contracts and mitigate financial risks.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage workload and produce results.
- Support the financial planning and budgeting process as a key financial and reporting resource.
- Perform or assist with ad hoc assignments as assigned including but not limited to development and monitoring of revenue, expenses, metrics for performance (KPI), presentations for senior management meetings and projects assigned by the Vice-President of Operational Finance.
- Compile, evaluate, and transform information from various systems and databases for use in financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Demonstrate ability to deliver on multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and the ability to identify, analyze, interpret, and propose sound solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with divisional operators and be a key business partner to them for revenue and cost related operations questions.
- Expected to carefully consider the manner in which work is presented and include summarized analysis, data, and visual presentation that is most appropriate for each situation.
- Communicate financial information effectively to team members, leadership and internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely and collaboratively with other departments including but not limited to: IT, Accounting, Revenue Cycle Services, and Operations to achieve financial goals.
Who/What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree: Finance, Economics, or Accounting, is required
- CPA Designation or Master's Degree in Business Administration or the above fields is preferred
- Must have 7 or more years of financial analysis and reporting experience
- Minimum of 2 years of management or leadership experience required
- Healthcare finance experience a plus
- Must have strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Analytical Software Suite, Billing Systems
- Prior exposure to the following is a plus: VBA; JavaScript; MicroStrategy; Oracle BI; Tableau; SASS; R; STATA; HOST Analytics; Workday; Kronos
- Knowledge of relational / multi-dimensional databases
- Ability to write SQL; MDX Queries a plus
- Data analysis skills including but not limited to: cleaning and analysis
- Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Must be able to work in a high-stress, time sensitive environment
