About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned engineer with a strong technical background, particularly in cloud-based solutions and data infrastructure. If our values appeal to you and you thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments; plus, have a passion for building scalable and innovative solutions, apply today!

What You Will Do

In the first 12 months, you’ll make an impact in two key areas:

Data Infrastructure

• Work on applications handling terabytes of data, including SaaS tools for creating search experiences, analytics platforms, and intelligent search systems.

• Develop robust data pipelines for storing and backfilling search indexes while maintaining transactional databases for microservices.

Cloud-Based Solutions and Migration

• Architect and build cloud-based solutions, leveraging services such as Solr, RDS, Kafka, and Redis to enhance scalability.

• Lead the migration of native systems to Kubernetes, encompassing a SAAS tooling, an analytics platform, and intelligent search systems.

What You Must Have 

• Great communication skills, coupled with a positive, team-oriented, collaborative approach to work. 

• Proven experience in building cloud-based solutions and leveraging services like Solr, RDS, Kafka, and Redis.

• Proficiency in data wrangling with SQL, NoSQL, and Spark.

• Strong programming skills in Java and Python are required.

• Extensive background in building service-oriented systems.

• Demonstrated success in working with large datasets and complex applications.

• Proven experience in leading the migration of systems to Kubernetes.

• A history of designing and implementing cloud solutions that align with business objectives.

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical degree.

Pay Transparency

• Base Salary: The initial base salary for this role is estimated to range from $165,000 to $200,000.

• Salary Structure: Our salary ranges are determined by market analysis and are designed to evolve with job performance over time.

• Additional Benefits: Beyond base salaries, SearchStax employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, with potential for equity and performance-based bonuses.
