JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Law’s Office of Admissions is seeking 2 temporary Admissions Counselors to assist with recruitment during fall 2022. This position is open only to 2022 JD graduates of Penn State Law in University Park who are not starting permanent jobs until 2023.
The successful candidates will be responsible for recruiting and counseling prospective law school students. The individual will participate in remote recruitment events and/or travel in the US to represent Penn State Law's JD and Dual Degree Programs. The Admissions Counselors will also conduct scheduled meetings by Zoom and phone with prospective applicants, participate in LSAC forums, attend regular team meetings, and assist with Penn State Law recruitment events and initiatives.
Qualifications should include a positive attitude, enthusiasm for Penn State Law, and high levels of independence, follow through, and initiative. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to diversity in legal education. Candidates seeking permanent post-graduation employment will be considered but those who have jobs not beginning until 2023 are preferred.
This position can be remote – residency in the State College area is not required.
Because travel on behalf of Penn State Law is likely to be involved in this position proof of full Covid-19 vaccination is required. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently by aircraft is also required.
This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
