Quality Assurance Engineer, Manual

Secoda is looking to build our Quality Assurance Engineering function. As our founding Quality Assurance Engineer, Manual you will be advocating for quality throughout the SDLC by ensuring processes and best practices are followed, and you will be working with stakeholders who value your input. Our Engineering and Product teams consist of: Software Engineers, Product, and Designers.

What you will be doing:

  • Identify risks, develop test plans and work with our Software Engineers to execute on them to build robust solutions to customer problems

  • Work closely with Software Engineers to ensure acceptance criteria are met

  • Help teams build measurable understanding of code quality and product risk

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product, and designers to ensure best practices and standards are followed when it comes to QA

  • Actively participate in Engineering ceremonies such as daily stand-up, retrospectives, and team meetings

  • Be an opinionated advocate for Testing and Quality standards at Secoda

Who you are:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a QA role, with at least 1 year of Manual QA experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, collaborative and open-minded approach to software development

  • Are a strategic thinker who enjoys creating and refining processes that drive efficiency

  • Proven experience designing, reviewing, maintaining and executing manual tests

Hybrid Office Policy (Tuesdays, Thursdays + every other Friday)

We have a beautiful office in Liberty Village (109 Atlantic Ave) and work in a Hybrid schedule with Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Friday as our in-office days. We provide lunch for our team every other Friday.
