ABOUT THE ROLE
Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to support our team. We are a fast-growing entrepreneurial team working at the convergence of technology and national security. The work will be dynamic and wide-ranging supporting the deployment and scale of our Game Warden platform.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general ledger functions, data entry, collections, sales tax, accounts payable, employee expenses, and asset management. The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations, utilizing Ramp as the system for managing expenses.
Note: This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements.
What You'll Do- Vendor Management and AP processing
- 1099 tracking and Y/E processing
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts
- Manage accounts receivable and monitor outstanding invoices
- Contact customers to follow up on overdue payments
- Reconcile sales tax payable accounts
- Review and process employee expense reports using Ramp
- Assist in the preparation of asset-related reports and analyses for management
Skills You'll Bring to Our Team - Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Experience with expense management systems, such as Ramp, is preferred
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing and entering financial information
- Ability to identify and correct discrepancies and errors in financial data
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a 100% remote team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed

Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks is preferred)
- Experience with Ramp or similar expense management systems preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
$110,000 - $120,000 a year
The base compensation for this role is $110,000 to $120,000/annually.
