So If you are a Forensic Accountant -in Sherman Oaks with experience, please read on!What You Will Be DoingReview and evaluate detailed financial statements and financial data (statements of revenue and expense, forecasts & budgets, production reports, etc.) in order to create a comprehensive analysisSearch for origins of entries and unrecorded transactions; review and verify source documentsDemonstrate an understanding of the flow of information and documentation on assigned mattersReview detailed invoices and purchase orders, organize supporting documentation, and input data to track costs incurred.Analyze revenue and expenses to create projection models.Assist in inputting financial data and organize large amounts of financial data both paper and electronic to be used in review.Communicating results of analysis to supervisors and/or clients.What You Need for this PositionDesignation as a Certified Fraud Examiner and/or CPA preferredExcellent analytical, communication and organizational skillsThe ability to function as an integral part of an investigative team and work in a group settingKnowledge of fundamental computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and AccessProficiency with presentation software including Microsoft PowerPointThe ability to review financial records and advise or assist in the investigation of alleged fraudBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics with a minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate experience in conducting forensic audits and/or financial fraud/irregularity investigationsStrong analytical skills related to the retrieval and organization of high volumes of dataExperience working with government agencies is a plusStrong knowledge and foundation in the principles of accounting, including: (i) ability to research accounting guidance and pronouncements, (ii) ability to understand financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and cash flow) and how each statement connects and relate to disclosure, (iii) ability to analyze historical financial statements and records and corporate and transactional agreementsWhat's In It for YouAbove market compensationFull medical Benefits package + retirement benefitsGrowing firm with multiple locations in Southern California - room for growth.Great work / life balanceFor decades the legal community has relied on the abilities of accountants to assist them in understanding and analyzing financial issues related to legal proceedings.
