Security Officer (Potawatomi Carter)

Join Potawatomi Carter Casino Hotel team as a Security Officer. In this position, you'll ensure the safety of our guests and team members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

• Exercise good judgment to ensure the safety and security of the guests, Team Members and organizational assets within the limits of standard or accepted policies and procedures.
• Monitor and control guest access to ensure all patrons meet the required age, do not possess any electronic devices, contraband, alcohol or weapons.
• Appropriately handle disruptive individuals engaged in criminal activity or over use of alcohol.
• Use audio/visual surveillance equipment to monitor for irregular activity and compliance with gaming regulations and laws.
• Coordinate with Surveillance on monitoring critical areas.
• Write comprehensive reports. This includes proper documentation of incidents, accidents and/or any other action that warrants a written report.
• Assist other departments by providing proper security escorts as well as verifying accurate documentation of table fills, jackpots and payouts.
• Responsible for parking and retrieving guests’ vehicles.
• Provide excellent guest service by providing information on upcoming or current events, appropriately answering and transferring incoming phone calls or questions to relevant departments.
• All other duties assigned by the Security Director, on-duty Sergeants or Corporals.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year verifiable security or related experience is required.
• Ability to uphold complete confidentiality is required.
• Basic computer and report writing skills required.
• First Aid, CPR, Defibrillator certification preferred.
• Must display professionalism when representing PCCH.
• Must work well with people, possess excellent customer service skills and sensitivity to diverse cultures.
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations is necessary.
