Position: Lead Security Installation Technician
Pay Status: Hourly
Location: Branch Office - Chesterfield, VA
Reports to: Branch Manager/Operations Manager
Pay Rate: Hourly $30.00-$40.00 (Plus Monthly Bonuses- see below) - Lead Installation Technician

Primary Purpose and Function

The Service Technician Position is a technical role who has the overall responsibility to repair, program and inspect existing security systems ofbasic to moderate complexity. This position is required to have a fundamental
understanding of basic electronics, wiring circuits, basic troubleshooting
methods, and a good understanding of basic test equipment use. Preferred
candidates should have prior installation or comparable experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, service, inspection and programming of basic to moderate complexity systems
• Perform routine scheduled system inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, general break fix calls
• Perform light installations as required for small add-ons or deletions
• Perform system removals as required
• Follow and/or adapt proper schematic wiring diagrams and termination procedures.
• Test operation of system to confirm compliance to the original scope of work, 100% functionality and customers satisfaction.
• Mark up as-built drawings, system documentation and device schedules to keep internal documentation current with changes
• Ensure that trouble tickets are completed with time logs entered with customer facing comments logged in a timely manner.
• Assist PMs and Installation technicians with IT coordination and implementation.
• Experience working with AMAG Symmetry and a Mercury based access control platforms
• Experience working with analog and IP-based video surveillance cameras such as Axis, Hanwha, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Overtime
• On-Call - $60 hourly is paid for these

Supplemental Pay:

• Bonus pay set up to receive monthly bonuses - Bonus average of bonus for a technician working 50 hours a week is between $600-$1000 on top of the overtime pay.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (required)
