Most recently, SecurityScorecard was named to Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2023 and to the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in 2023 award recognizing “forward-thinking employers for their unwavering commitment to employee engagement.”SecurityScorecard is proud to be funded by world-class investors including Silver Lake Waterman, Moody’s, Sequoia Capital, GV and Riverwood Capital.About the RoleSecurityScorecard is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations to lead our communications strategy, strengthen our brand reputation, and enhance our corporate presence both internally and externally.Key Responsibilities• Strategic Communications Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive corporate communications and public relations strategies that align with company goals, enhance brand reputation, and support business objectives.• Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers. With support from our PR agency, proactively pitch stories, respond to media inquiries, and manage corporate communications.• Corporate Messaging and Branding: Shape and articulate the company’s voice and narrative across all communication channels (Content, PR, Social Media). Ensure consistent messaging that aligns with our mission, vision, and values.• Executive Communications: Partner with the executive leadership team to craft and deliver high-impact communications, including presentations and media interviews. Serve as a strategic advisor on communication matters.• Team Leadership: Manage the SecurityScorecard PR agency, and internal PR and content teams, providing guidance and development opportunities. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive communication efforts.• Analytics and Reporting: Utilize media monitoring and analytics tools to track the effectiveness of communications strategies. Provide regular reports and insights (brand equity health, share of voice, tier 1 coverage, broadcast coverage, social media KPIs, etc) to the executive team, using data to refine and improve communication efforts.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.• 7+ years of experience in corporate communications and public relations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in cybersecurity is highly desirable.• Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that support business goals.• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in executive communications.• Strong media relations skills with a network of contacts in relevant industries.• Demonstrated expertise in crisis communication and reputation management.• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.• Proficiency in communication and PR tools, including media monitoring and analytics platforms.Benefits:Specific to each country, we offer a competitive salary, stock options, Health benefits, and unlimited PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursements, and much more!The estimated salary range for this position is $160,000-180,000. Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range.
