Senior Accountant

**Hybrid Opportunity**

**Must have Fixed Assets experience**

The Senior Accountant is responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for Clearwave Fiber.

Responsibilities

• Performs overhead allocation process clearing costs to capital
• Manages closing of projects from Work in Progress (WIP) to Fixed Assets; reviews for accuracy and completeness before making entries
• Prepares adjusting entries moving costs to appropriate cost center
• Reconciles Balance Sheet accounts as assigned in area of responsibility
• Assist with Financial and Regulatory annual audits in area of responsibility as assigned and according to deadlines set
• Backup and assist with maintaining current property record information as needed
• Records depreciation for fixed assets
• Responsible for communicating with project owners on status of open projects
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure effective operation of department
• Provides management with reports and analytics on statuses of open projects
• Assist in month end close responsibilities
• Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with capital accounting
• Special projects as required

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• BBA in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience.
• 3+ years in cost, fixed asset, and project accounting.
• Excellent Excel and data base skills.
• Telecommunications Accounting (Part32) experience a plus.
• Technically strong with an aptitude for financial and accounting reporting systems (ERP).
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem- solving skills.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with little or no direction and great detail for accuracy within tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated.
• Desire for process improvement
• Effectively communicates within and across departments.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications.
• Requires discretion regarding sensitive Company information.
• Available to work overtime as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
