About the Role

A successful candidate will have a broad range of technical skills and experience in the areas of Windows Desktop and Linux systems (particularly expertise in Security), strong teamwork, and communications skills.

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate technical proficiency, has the desire to learn and be involved in maintaining the security of our clients through the patching process.

The candidate will work on documenting security standards, implementation and troubleshooting of the processes.

The position will require team participation with the North American Desktop Systems team and Remote Systems Administrators in EMEA and APAC.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Patching analysts to patch all Windows and Linux Workstations.
• Drive monthly PC workstation operational patching process.
• Create, update, and maintain monthly patching standard operating procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnose issues related to patch installations using Tanium platform.
• Analyze vulnerability scanning results and implement recommendations to mitigate vulnerability backlog.
• Monitor for zero day or widespread exploits to reprioritize and accelerate vulnerability mitigations when necessary.
• Monitor the progress of vulnerability remediation activities and provide regular status updates.
• Support projects / initiatives related to workstation vulnerability and security as needed.
• Document and update incident(s) (via Remedyforce) with information relevant to the incident and/or outage
• Work as a liaison with the Wind River Security and IT Operations, Engineering Operations, End User Services and Applications to document, organize, track and report on system vulnerabilities.

Experience/ Competencies

• Tanium Administrator Certification is preferred.
• Five plus (5+) years of related specialty IT experience (for example, but not limited to: system engineering, desktop engineering, scripting).
• Experience with PowerShell / Bash / Python scripting
• Experience with cross-team troubleshooting efforts.
• Knowledge of desktop OS deployment and imaging, Application installs, OS patching, and feature updates.
• Ability to troubleshoot Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
• Ability to perform administrative functions utilizing PowerShell / Bash / Python.
• Ability to package, deploy and track updates via Tanium.
• Experience with Tanium Remediation scripts.
• Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
• Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients.
• Excellent MSFT Office skills, esp. Excel
• Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services.
• Must be able to satisfy ITAR compliance requirements (i.e., US person)

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $69,000 to $103,600 plus bonus for Colorado, New York and New Jersey residents, and $84,000 to $115,000 plus bonus for California and Washington residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, location and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, 12 paid holidays.
