The San Francisco office of SmithGroup is looking for a Senior Building Performance Analyst to join our team.?

Senior Building Performance Analysts at SmithGroup, Inc. sub. of SmithGroup Co. Inc., 301 Battery Street, Floor 4, San Francisco, CA 94111: Will work in collaboration with Sustainable Design leaders, Engineers, and Architects within SmithGroup to develop and execute the firm s overall strategic plan for energy modeling. This is a non-licensed position and does not require licensure. Job duties include: Provide energy modeling guidance and technical analysis in support of project design teams, using architectural knowledge of model building and system designs to guide sustainability and energy reduction strategies to produce energy efficient buildings. Provide energy modeling concepts and report to clients and other external parties during qualification interviews, project team meetings and community/agency reviews. Work with and provide direction to an in-house group of professionals that specialize in energy modeling. Develop tools and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of energy modeling. Research, recommend and implement energy modeling software programs and tools. Create staff training/development to increase the knowledge of project teams in the application of energy modeling methods. Oversee the work of entry-level energy modeling staff and execute the SmithGroup quality plan. Regularly work with: Energy modeling software IES-VE, EnergyPlus, TRACE and Autodesk REVIT, SketchUp, Rhino and associated suite of performance modeling tools; Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD or other computer-aided design (CAD) software. Telecommuting may be permitted, 2 to 3 days per week. Some regional travel may be required, less than 10% on an annual basis. Minimum requirements: a master s degree in architecture, architectural engineering or any related field of study (foreign equivalent degrees accepted) and 2 years of experience in any related occupation performing Energy Modeling, or in the alternative, a bachelor's degree in the same fields as above (foreign equivalent degrees accepted), and 5 years of progressive experience in any related occupation performing Energy Modeling. Basic annual pay range is one hundred forty-four thousand three hundred seventy-three dollars to one hundred forty-four thousand five hundred dollars for full-time employment and standard company benefits. The anticipated salary range for this position is one hundred forty-four thousand three hundred seventy-three dollars to one hundred forty-four thousand five hundred dollars annually, at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more less than the anticipated salary range for this position. Additionally, an employee in this position is eligible for a performance-based bonus on an annual basis.
