Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related field, plus 8 yrs or Master’s degree plus 6 yrs.

Job Description:
GDMS’ Deep Learning Analytics Center of Excellence (DLACoE) is looking for a data science professional having a wide range of data integration, data visualization, big data, and programming skills. Candidates should possess a demonstrated proficiency of machine learning and software engineering with the ability to apply these skills under real world conditions.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the design and development of machine learning algorithms
  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
  • Wrangle, preprocess and manipulate data for use in machine learning algorithms
  • Collaborate with customer/domain experts through research and development
  • Have familiarity with deep learning algorithms, design considerations, and methods to overcome limitations or constraints due to hardware or data
  • Plan and conduct experiments to improve model performance
  • Optimize deep architectures for performance, and implement systems to formalize and support such optimization
  • Communicate results to team members and/or non-technical leadership
  • Present new concepts clearly through oral and visual media
  • Represent DLA CoE as a subject matter expert (SME) across the organization and with senior leaders
  • Draw on expertise and research to apply data science and machine learning to challenging problems over a broad range of domains
  • Direct and collaborate with a dispersed and diverse team of engineers and scientists to implement data driven solutions
  • Provide mentoring and training to team members
  • Contribute to business development including technical proposals, whitepapers and customer presentations

Skills
You’ll Bring:
  • Machine learning & deep learning in Python (including scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the Linux command line (bash and shell scripting)
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets (images, cyber, NLP, and other signals)
  • Experience with distributed version control systems and DevOps tools (e.g. Gitlab, Git, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Data preparation and corpus filtering (with PostgresSQL, mySQL, and other DBs)
  • Validation methods
  • Experimental design
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Salary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. Combined Salary Range: USD $148,700.00 - USD $164,900.00 /Yr. Company Overview:
