Senior Director of Data Engineering

Summary

• Mentor, monitor and grow, including performance management of individual contributors.
• Manage, analyze and influence infrastructure and product design related to data platform initiatives.
• Manage code reviews, best practices and engineering excellence used to solve challenging technical problems.
• Manage and analyze the efficiency, reliability and scalability of both team activity and related core services.
• Plan and manage project tasks, dependencies, schedules, and resources related to delivery of complex interconnected systems.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or another equivalent discipline / experience.
• Experience managing engineering leads in software and data systems environments.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience in software development including design, infrastructure and distributed systems. (Java, C++)
• Experience with big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Experience building and integrating disparate systems across multiple teams including system integrations (REST, gRPC, APIs).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of technical leadership.
• Experience with database internals is a plus.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000-$250,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
