SENIOR DIVERSITY OFFICER, Office of the Vice President Research (OVPR), to be responsible for strategy development and implementation in support of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEO) on behalf of the MIT research community at-large, including postdoctoral scholars and within the VPR laboratories and centers. Will collaborate with senior administration to develop and implement programs and activities to increase diversity and inclusivity in the VPR departments, laboratories, and centers (DLCs); facilitate with internal and external collaborators to successfully recruit, develop, and retain all categories of staff (support, administrative, research, etc.) from diverse backgrounds within th VPR units, and more broadly across the Institute for research staff, postdoctoral scholars, and research administrators; work in partnership with the schools and the college to ensure diversity and inclusivity programs are aligned with MIT's initiatives and strategic plans; and serve as a spokesperson and visible advocate for diversity, inclusivity, and belonging.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in a related field; at least ten years’ related experience, including at least ten years as a senior-level diversity leader that included experience in diversity, inclusion, equity, affirmative action, change management, organization development, and/or human resources; and comprehensive knowledge of AA/EEO, Title IX, and civil rights laws and regulations. PREFERRED: master's or Ph.D. in leadership, diversity and inclusion, organizational development, human resources, or related field; and professional certifications and diversity and inclusion affiliations.
