Senior Firmware Engineer

About the role:

We're looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer who would like to work on the whole stack, from hardware support and board bring-up, through the operating system and communications and up to the application and user interface. If your Embedded experience is limited to certain area, this is a great opportunity to enrich your skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Architect, design, implement, test & maintain embedded software written in C & C++

Collaborate with electrical & mechanical engineers to create tightly integrated HW features

Work with mobile & cloud software engineers to build a truly connected product

Develop internal tools & features that improve testing & manufacturability of our products

Establish software engineering best practices & write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Embedded SW development experience using C/C++

Experience with embedded Linux

Experience with BLE, Wi-Fi and/or TCP/IP

Proficiency in Real-Time Operating Systems (e.g. FreeRTOS, ThreadX, etc.)

Strong background in software design prioritizing testability and reusability

Experience using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers

Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals such as threading, abstraction and object-oriented design

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required. Master's degree preferred.

It would be great if you also possess:

Experience with bare metal FW coding

Experience bringing up ultra low power hardware platforms

Knowledge/experience with the product manufacturing lifecycle
