Senior Google Cloud Architect

Synechron Consulting is seeking a Google Cloud Architect with demonstrable experience designing, implementing and supporting scalable Google Cloud Platform solutions for Enterprise customers. Strong project organization and communication skills, along with technical expertise and attention to detail are key in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Enable adoption and scaled usage of Cloud services with automation
• Work in a distributed team to provide innovative and robust Cloud-centric solutions
• Define architectures using GCP resources that span private and public Cloud resources to migrate complex, multi-tier applications and their data
• Contribute to the design and automation of resource hierarchies, policies and landing zones for Enterprise-scale customers
• Design, optimize and document the operational aspects of using GCP
• Work closely with customers to develop robust and reusable configuration management components

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of expert-level experience doing design, architecture and implementation of Google Cloud Services.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with containers and their orchestration, e.g. Kubernetes/Helm, Docker, Podman
• Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++.
• Experience automating Cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible.
• Experience architecting and maintaining high availability production systems.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to engage with and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of networking and solutioning hybrid-Cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring in a Cloud environment, with GCP or third-party solutions.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and tools.
• Experience with Enterprise-grade authentication (SAML, OAuth, Kerberos, etc.)
• Working knowledge of security controls for GCP.
