Job Description
The
Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard
stands on the leading edge of biomedical research, with a mission to broadly disseminate discoveries and information to the scientific community and general public. The Broad’s research is pursued through a blend of academic and industrial-scale production of genetic, biological, and chemical outputs, with scientists from Broad, MIT, Harvard, and the Harvard-affiliated hospitals working side-by-side.
The Senior HR Partner role offers a blend of strategic initiatives, OD projects and management and mentoring of People Partners and Associate People Partners
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides strategic partnership, guidance and advice on people management; determines root causes of issues and recommends appropriate plans to optimize talent, structure and culture.
  • Manages and mentors other members of the Human Resources Partner team, providing guidance, direction and professional development opportunities.
  • Serves as a coach to develop skills and competencies in managers / leaders.
  • Acts as an internal consultant and strategic thought partner to managers/leaders by establishing trust and credibility as a valuable sounding board on organizational and people issues.
  • Provides expertise in facilitating employee relations challenges in a positive and proactive manner by listening, conducting objective investigations, making recommendations, and providing feedback to ensure appropriate resolution and follow through.
  • Recommends new approaches, strategies, and best practices to ensure continual improvements in people and organizational development.
  • Utilizes data and analytics to inform key people decisions and enhance organizational capabilities.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience in a HR partner role with knowledge across multiple HR disciplines.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
