The Opportunity
Are you excited by technology’s potential to solve business problems and transform the Financial Services industry? Datadog is searching for an experienced, self-directed, and data-driven senior marketing manager to own the company’s messaging and go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Financial Services (including its sub-verticals banking, payments, capital markets, insurance, and fintech). You will be responsible for delivering campaigns designed to acquire new customers and increase usage among existing ones. This is a highly strategic role that will play a critical part in driving Datadog’s next chapter of growth.
You Will:
- Work cross-functionally with Datadog Product, Marketing and Sales leadership to identify the highest opportunity use cases and solution areas, prioritize decisionmaker/influencer personas and align on GTM strategy
- Create messaging that maps Datadog adoption benefits to industry-specific business and operational issues
- Work with other Marketing teams to build and deliver integrated marketing campaigns designed to generate high-quality leads (including first-party events, third-party event sponsorships, paid and organic social media tactics, content creation and syndication, etc.)
- Manage content programs, which include customer-facing assets (whitepapers, blog posts, websites, etc.) and internal sales enablement materials (first-call decks, solution briefs, presentation recordings, etc.) targeted at industry influencers, decision makers and C-suites
- Source and promote customer success stories illustrating the value of Datadog service adoption
- Serve as Datadog’s external spokesperson to press and research analysts for the Financial Services industry
You Have:
- 7+ years of experience in technology product and/or solutions marketing
- 5+ years of experience working in or marketing to the Financial Services industry
- Understanding of top security and regulatory frameworks most impacting the industry
- Experience building marketing messaging, content and campaigns that tie enterprise technology services/solutions (e.g., API management, application performance monitoring, cloud, devops, etc.) to customer business objectives and operational issues
- Examples of using data (such as leads and opportunities) to measure success of your initiatives and identify areas for improvement
- Ability to lead through influence by establishing strong, collaborative relationships across executive, product and marketing leaders
- Proven best practices for generating high quality-marketing leads that result in pipeline growth
- Excellent written and oral communication and storytelling skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, economics or another relevant field of study
Bonus Points:
- Comfortable speaking to modern technology trends, such as cloud computing, digital transformation and agile/DevOps processes
- Understanding of critical partners and channel alliances
- MBA or equivalent
