Votre mission
We are seeking a Senior Manager - Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) to help grow our amazing portfolio of dermo-cosmetics brands: Eau Thermale Avène, Rene Furterer, Glytone, and Klorane. This role will have a significant impact on the Pierre Fabre US business helping to expand consumer engagement efforts in the US via the new Consumer Engagement & Activation unit, comprising Digital, Data and Media. This person will lead a small but talented team, reporting to the Head of Consumer Engagement & Activation.
This person will manage consumer and market insights to ensure a constant flow of CMI to the organization. This role owns Sell-Thru (sell-in and sell-out) data analytics, leveraging 1P, 2P and 3P (syndicated data) and market and competitive tracking data. Ming for category and channel/POS insights, such as planogram analytics, also falls within this scope. This position includes managing partnerships with our consumer and market data vendors (e.g., Gartner, Nielsen, Kline, NPD, Euromonitor, etc.) and liaising with our agencies’ data teams to get the absolute best out of them. This role will be responsible for extracting insights from our CDP and other sources of consumer data (e.g, Zendesk call center, Google Insights, Amazon portal, etc.).
This person will work very closely with the Media Manager on media performance analytics and insights and will be working daily with the Brand Mangers and Marketing teams. This position includes staying abreast of the latest methodologies in CMI.
This role is ideal for someone who understands marketing (online and offline) and who is strategic, curious, analytical and in love with the hands-on craft of CMI.
Essential Functions:
  • Leading category insights and business intelligence to empower sales and marketing teams to make strategic decisions, including POS analytics and management.
  • Leading data collection and structuring, market performance analytics, reporting and insight-led recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Working closely with various departments to collect, prepare, organize, protect, and analyze data assets while ensuring that the company meets industry best practices, while aligning to the strategies of PF USA.
  • Leading the analysis of Sell-Through (Sell-In and Sell-Out) sales data on 1st party and 3rd party (syndicated) databases and sales portals to identify extract category and brand insights for the business.
  • Overseeing market and competitive data and analytics, including market share, industry trends, competitive analysis, and customer behavior in the dynamic US retail landscape, anticipating competitive activity.
  • Communicating market and consumer insights in clear and concise ways to enable the teams to make data-driven marketing decisions, including publishing reports and dashboards to communicate key performance metrics to stakeholders and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Leading the analytics of the Consumer Data Platform (CDP) and communicating insights and business implications and opportunities.
  • Overseeing analytics on other consumer insights platforms and across various sources of consumer data, including primary research, and communicating insights for the business.
  • Helping to establish and monitor metrics to monitor the business, such as conversion rates, customer engagement, lead generation, customer acquisition costs, NPS (NET PROMOTER SCORE) and customer lifetime value.
  • Working with the Brand, Digital Marketing and Sales teams to provide the intelligence and insights they need for their marketing/go to market strategies and tactics to deliver the business.
  • Producing and maintaining reports and dashboards, accompanied by insights, to inform the business and address Executive Leadership questions.
  • Establishing and managing the CMI ecosystem of data and vendors.
  • Establishing a data management/warehouse system and a CMI communication and education infrastructure.
  • Other duties as described by the business.
Competencies:
  • Understanding of the US consumer and market/retail landscape online and offline.
  • Experience working in a CPG Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) function, with knowledge of CMI role and responsibilities, including knowledge of vendors and sources of CMI data.
  • Strong data analysis skills including statistical modeling, data visualization to identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex data sets.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business dynamics.
  • Proficient in using marketing automation tools, social media analytics tools, and web analytics tools.
  • Experience with manipulating data from syndicated data sources from NielsenIQ, RSi, IRI, Kline, NPD, Euromonitor, IQVIA and Amazon retailer portal.
  • Familiarity with marketing performance metrics such as conversion rates, customer engagement, lead generation, customer acquisition costs, NPS (NET PROMOTER SCORE) and customer lifetime value.
  • Understanding of Excel and CVS data files (structured and unstructured) and pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office software (PPT, word) to produce reports, analysis, and presentations.
  • Communication skills to convey complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders, such as marketing managers, sales teams, and executives
  • Create best-in-class partner relationships with brands, professional marketing activation, finance and IT.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Exposure to consumer products marketing, ideally Beauty and/or Personal Care
  • BS degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, Analytics, or related field
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in Marketing or Sales, and ideally in a CPG CMI function
  • Experience with database manipulation background (Excellent MS-Excel skills), familiarity with PowerBI or Tableau
  • Leadership skills
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Experience with C-Suite level presentations and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring the use of ingenuity and creativity; ability to formulate approaches and strategies which may fall outside of historical norms

Work Environment / physical demands / position type and expected hours of work:
  • This job operates in a clerical, office setting.
  • The normal working hours of the office are from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
