Senior Manager, Consultants & Consulting Engineering Firms

Calix is seeking a senior leader to manage the Consultants and Consulting Engineering firms in our partner ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and proven leader to join our team at an exciting growth stage.

This leader will serve as a key partner to the Vice President of the Calix Partner Community and will be instrumental in nurturing the shared growth between Calix and one of its most strategic partner segments in the US and Canada. Calix has a rich and vibrant partner ecosystem, and within it a number of highly strategic partnerships, but the Broadband Consultants and Consulting Engineering Firms are an enormously valuable segment given their high leverage position in the market and the significant monies flowing into the Broadband market from all areas.

As a critical member of our partner team, this leader will own the overall relationships with these key partners supporting the manifold initiatives within both Calix and the partners as well as the teams driving the workstreams that make up these partnerships. The Senior Manager of Consultants and Consulting Engineering Firms will have day to day interactions with the senior leadership of these partners and will be comfortable operating at that level and both supporting and driving these stakeholders.

The new Calix Senior Manager of Consultants and Consulting Engineering will:

Have a passion for sales and technology
Be driven to the help Calix and its strategic partners experience dramatic growth
Know how to build relationships as well know how to maintain them
Be disciplined in working with people as well as be culturally sensitive in dealing with them

Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop and maintain broad and deep external partner relations with key strategic partners in all solutions areas.
Cultivate knowledge of the partners’ value propositions, their markets, business challenges and customer opportunities
Communicate the nature, status, and value of the partnerships to multiple internal Calix stakeholder groups
Coordinate updates to the partners of the latest developments within Calix
Develop and execute strategic partner plans for each partner
Build multi-level relationships with the partners including those in the executive level
Coordinate with internal resources to drive partner sales planning and engagement efforts
As needed and where necessary, work with the Calix regional sales teams and representatives from key partners to perform joint sales calls with strategic end accounts.
Identify program risks, problem-solve and implement solutions by coordinating work in coordination with PLL, Marketing and Sales.
Work collaboratively with all internal resources as the subject matter expert to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are delivered and maintained.

Qualifications:
You have prior experience in similar roles and a strong track record of success in building strategic partnerships with these types of businesses.
You have a working knowledge of a all of the aspects of a full Consulting Engineering firm including:
Cost consulting
Engineering
Regulatory / Compliance
You are familiar with key industry organizations like ACE
You are intimate with the ways consulting companies work
You have experience working with senior stakeholders to find win-win solutions.
You are highly goal oriented, assertive and a hands-on, problem solver.
You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You demonstrate the ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
You have excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proven influencer with ability to identify and drive new opportunities.
Strategically agile self-starter who can work independently and in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
Cultural fit within the Calix team, team player, comfortable with ambiguity and results oriented.

This is a remote-based position located anywhere in the United States.
