Senior Manager, Infrastructure

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Infrastructure who will be responsible for managing a team of System and Network Engineers to build and maintain a nation-wide infrastructure with approximately fifty disparate sites. You will also be devising an infrastructure strategy in collaboration with key IT department and business stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Responsibility for management of network/server equipment and ensure organization’s systems are online, secured and fully operational. This includes on premise systems as well as cloud-based systems in Azure.
• Develop, implement, and maintain operational maintenance cycles across all area-owned devices/platforms to ensure adherence to Macerich security policies and configuration standards.
• Manage the infrastructure engineering team and reviewing their projects, assigning work, and assisting with projects where needed.
• Create, manage, and update the infrastructure strategy and roadmap.
• Evaluate ways to streamline and automate tasks and improve efficiency across the team and department.
• Mentor team members throughout the organization.
• Will report to the VP of Cybersecurity & Infrastructure.

Your Key Success Attributes

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in managing enterprise class networking and computing systems.
• 5 years of experience managing employees.
• Proven experience in managing direct reports.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Have an automation mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills

• VMware (vSphere)
• Azure
• Familiarity with Cisco Switching and Palo Alto Firewalls
• Experience managing and maintaining
• all Windows operating systems
• Linux (RHEL) operating system
• Windows and Linux Scripting experience
• Active Directory Domain environment management
• Enterprise backup systems (Cohesity)
• Knowledge of the use of monitoring tools (such as Orion SolarWinds and others)
