What We Do

Thoropass combines simple software with expert guidance to help SaaS companies manage security compliance, security audits, and enterprise procurement security diligence. Thoropass helps companies adopt stage-appropriate compliance practices that enterprises can trust and reduce the time and costs of security audits by 50% or more.

We are a rapidly expanding team based in New York. We were founded in May 2019 and raised our Series C funding in November 2022. Our top investors include J.P. Morgan, PayPal Ventures, Fin Capital, Centana, and Bain Capital. We're growing customers and revenue dramatically, and we’re poised for continued break-out growth in 2023 and beyond.

About the Job

Thoropass is looking for a dynamic and enterprising Senior Manager, ISO 27001 Assurance to join our team. Thoropass is a new approach to Information Security and Privacy Compliance combining automation and expert advice and guidance.

What you will do 

• Stand up business unit that will partner with independent preferred certification bodies to conduct ISO certifications for our customers
• Grow and expand audit capabilities to allow for increased volume, greater efficiency, and other types of ISO audits (ISO 27001, etc.)
• Hire and manage additional ISO 27001 auditors to scale with the business
• Advise on projects related to creating ISO standard controls and ISO audit readiness content
• Advise product and engineering team on improving ISO compliance and ISO audit software functionality
• Ensure all ISO auditors are trained and approved by partner ISO certification body
• Manage the relationship between advisory team, customer, ISO auditors on your team, and partner ISO certification bodies
• Manage and maintain independence between the advisory team, your ISO auditors, and the ISO certification body

Required Experience 

• You are ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certified, and have 7+ years of experience, with 4+ as an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
• You have a background in information security and data privacy
• You are entrepreneurial, tech-savvy, not risk-averse
• You have a track record of demonstrated leadership capabilities and an interest in building and leading a new business
• You are comfortable with pushing boundaries and disrupting traditional business models
• Required certifications: ISO 27001 Lead Audit

Bonus Points

• You have experience with multiple frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.
• Good to have certifications: CISSP, CISA, or other equivalent technical certification (ex. AWS Solutions Architect, etc).
