Your role at Sephora:

Reporting into the Director of Beauty Insider, the Senior Manager of BI supports our best-in-class Loyalty team by ensuring member acquisition and engagement activities deliver against budget. In addition to owning the acquisition strategy, you’ll be responsible for directing, executing, analyzing, and refining strategies to ensure program activities and innovation deliver against expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience driving program growth and leading marketing initiatives. They will be comfortable analyzing and interpreting financial data to inform future decision making, possess strong storytelling abilities, be a proactive problem solver and have solid program management skills. Success in this role requires the ability inform and execute a strategic roadmap, translate data insights into stories and solutions, and to effectively influence a large cross-functional team to drive results. This position is on an influential team, with visibility throughout the organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Draft and own end-to-end member acquisition and engagement strategies and technical roadmap to hit program goals and deliver best-in-class loyalty experience with focus on program benefit and birthday gift optimization, tier migration, sampling opportunities and innovation.
  • Own newly launched program initiatives including gamification, partnership strategy, Sephora @ Kohl’s, Sephoria, and tier benefits enhancements.
  • Coordinate with Client Analytics and Finance on establishing and managing to annual goals and topline budget, inclusive of customer, inventory, and financial impact
  • Manage critical budget activities, including monthly respreads and expense tracking to ensure program activities (including birthday) adhere to forecast; proactively suggest opportunities to improve ROI, drive efficiencies and deliver cost savings. Open and close POs,
  • Consolidate BI client and market insights from internal and external sources to analyze program and campaign effectiveness, optimize efforts and guide future decision making
  • Effectively recap and articulate program contributions and campaign performance in weekly emails, monthly and quarterly hindsight decks, and in cross functional share outs to reinforce the value of the Loyalty Program and ensure consistent messaging and continued evangelism across the organization
  • Influence creative briefs and effectively communicate program strategies, client experiences and desired outcomes to ensure accurate and timely delivery
  • Oversee all Sephora @ Kohl’s BI program activities in collaboration with Kohl’s and internal stakeholders to drive program mechanics, ensuring a seamless member experience across both entities.
  • Coordinate with the greater Beauty Insider team on the roadmap and seasonal planning, program documentation, calendaring and all-around coordination of team activities and program happenings.
  • Partner with Retail Leadership to establish annual Field Objectives, support field strategies, marketing creation and distribution of assets across the field
  • Partner with BI and broader Loyalty team to ensure client-centric approach across all loyalty efforts.
  • Collaborate with Sephora marketing, creative and legal to ensure program activities, T&Cs and creative assets are legally compliant.
  • Represent Beauty Insider program and strategic POV in meetings and team alignments
  • Oversee the BI/Credit brochure process with internal and external partners to ensure all stores are stocked appropriately
  • Manage and facilitate career growth and development of two marketing managers.


We would love to hear from you if:

  • 5+ years of marketing, agency, program management, strategy and/or loyalty experience
  • A passion for beauty and loyalty marketing.
  • Ability to lead, influence and problem-solve across a wide range of cross-functional partners and leaders
  • Strong communicator who can clearly articulate business needs, program objectives and measurement expectations
  • Strategic thinker who can leverage large data sets to make data-driven decisions and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in building and managing financial forecasts, along with complex budgets via Excel; familiar with P&L management & metrics
  • A strong idea generator, contributing to program vision and planning while getting involved in the details of execution and management
  • Results-oriented, timeliness, attention to detail, with a willingness to shift plans to meet goals
  • Client-centric mindset
  • Ability to approach projects with a can-do attitude and create process where there isn’t one.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay focused/calm.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Workfront, Google docs

The annual base salary range for this position is $141,000.00 - $158,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
