A Brief Overview

The Senior Manager, People Success Policy & Compliance is a strategic, analytical, and accomplished people leader with comprehensive experience in policy management, compliance, risk and operations in Human Resources with a global mindset. A highly organized and motivated people-leader with influential communication skills and the strong ability to build trusted relationships across and with partners in the People Team, Audit, Legal & the Businesses. The position is committed to inspiring others and achieving effective outcomes.

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, communicate and execute policies against a People Team global compliance strategy, with the goal of identifying & mitigating regulatory employment risks in the US, Canada, India, Poland and all countries in which TriNet expands its employment presence.
  • Own lifecycle for Global People Team policies, including the Colleague Handbook & supporting documentation, including SOPs & FAQs, ensure innovative thinking and best practices are incorporated within & all content is current and relevant.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups to develop enterprise policies & processes; provide thought leadership & People Team perspective to groups & influence development and communication of enterprise level policies.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing communication channels for people team policies & practices, with goal of enabling colleagues to find, understand & adhere to policies, regardless of colleague’s location.
  • Accountable for setting and enforcing policies related to TriNet’s global immigration and global mobility strategy, responsible for managing escalated immigration inquires and issues; develop and deliver reporting for senior leadership to assess the impact of strategy & potential strategy enhancements and development.
  • Accountable for TriNet’s global leave of absence & accommodations policies and practices; ensuring compliance & outstanding colleague experience develop and deliver reporting for PBPs & People Leadership team to manage workforce, understand talent & business impacts and drivers for wellness. Identify process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Provide expert advice to People Business Partners, managers and employees about People Team and company policies and processes.
  • Owns quarterly People team reports and assists with other data requests and reporting on an ad hoc basis.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations, analyzes the effect of the changes on the organization, and communicates findings to People Team leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with HR process owners to review the maintenance of required compliance documentation / internal control practices in accordance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensures that HR Compliance process changes are effectively managed from a control perspective.
  • Fosters a learning culture withing the team focused on coaching, regular feedback, accountability, and development that energizes colleagues.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Equivalent education and experience

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically, 10+ years' experience in Human Resources or related work functions required
  • Experience in global workforce policies and operations, preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Established proficiency with driving program and process improvement and developing and writing policies and processes to ensure compliance with federal/state/local labor laws and regulations and/or to support a company’s strategic direction.
  • Demonstrates ability to work on complex issues where analysis of differing situations or date requires evaluation of variable factors.
  • Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation of criteria for acquiring results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation/facilitation skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, including immigration regulations, with a strong desire to continue learning.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion, with ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent PowerPoint, Excel, and data analytic skills
  • Highly effective leadership skills reflecting ownership/accountability, critical thinking, collaboration, demonstrated ability to inspire and empower others, promote inclusivity, transparency and resiliency.

Licenses and Certifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

The salary range for this role is $112,700 to $222,240. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
