Senior Planning Manager

Job description:

Purpose:

TechnipFMC is hiring a senior planning manager to design, implement, operate, and lead a best-in-class planning function for the Subsea Services North America business. Once in place, the function will govern the strategic sales and operational planning process to ensure the long-term health and growth of the business and will industrialize the processes necessary to plan, schedule, forecast, and prioritize work to ensure the business achieves safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance targets across all value streams. This role is responsible for the success of this function and its impact to the business. This role will operate in a highly cross-functional team environment involving supply chain, operations, engineering, projects, and commercial teams in the North American region.

Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the people within the planning function
Develop and manage a sales and operational planning process to highlight key demand drivers for all service value streams and to improve forecast accuracy
Identify inefficiencies in demand planning processes that link the supply chain, operations, engineering and projects and design innovative solutions to improve
Establish a scheduling capability to define and align the sequence and priority of work to satisfy customer commitments with internal capacity and resource constraints
Establish a material planning function together with the supply chain to optimize the flow of material and reduce inventory
Own the visual management (or equivalent reporting mechanisms) obligation to make the plan (S&OP to demand plan, demand to schedule, schedule to project plan, project to material plan, material to logistics, logistics to inventory plan) visible in real-time to all regional stakeholders

Direct experience with strategic planning teams that have positively impacted the performance of a >$100M business
Planning expertise with in-depth knowledge of planning and scheduling principles, best practices, and processes from the energy sector or other capital-intensive service industries
